A few months ago, I decided to take a trip to Greece. I remembered that I had a friend living there (`nikosalpha (https://www.deviantart.com/nikosalpha)), who was a photographer, and I proposed a meetup. It was a bit of a funny story as to how Nikos and I met. It was allll the way back in 2005 when we first started talking to each other on deviantart, and 7 years later, I finally got to meet him in person! It was quite overwhelming. Nikos was an awesome host, and he helped me a lot with my photography. He even did a shoot for me! hahahhaa I was really nervous because I had no idea what I was doing, but it was a lot of fun :)

So last month-ish I submitted my portfolio ( www.christine-portfolio.deviantart.com) to the comic company Inception Strategies just for kicks. Since I don't have any prior professional experience I was expecting to just get snubbed. But guess what? I got an email from them saying that I've been shortlisted as a colourist! :D :D :D I'm really excited ( Though am dying trying to finish the colouring test by the deadline) On that note, I really hate how colouring seems to just be so underrated. Like I told my friend today and he said " what? so you just colour outlines? I did that when I was 5 hahahaha sometimes I even coloured within the line

So me and a classmate and a teacher of mine have started this business venture, trying to produce and sell our own comic, and I'm the one illustrating it...ALL OF IT. And we were supposed to apply for this government grant to get money to fund the project but a lot of stuff fell through, and now the alternate plan is for me to complete the entire first issue (19 pagesish) and submit it to a publisher. And it really blows because I was planning to hire some assistants to help me draw things like the backgrounds/speech bubbles/special effects, because it is EXTREMELY TAXING for me to churn out 19 pages of super high quality art all by myself,
